Kitchen Renovation - Round Two

When we first bought our house, the kitchen was unusable. For quite a while we had a fridge full of Hot Pockets and a microwave. I'll never eat another hot pocket again.

The first renovation was a get something in cheap and quick. It worked, but just didn't have that finished feel to it. So last winter we bought some IKEA cabinets on eBay, and this is the fruit of our labor.

Still some work to do, but for the most part we're very happy with the results.

Looks great!

Looks great Ben! I especially like the stainless steel splash guard behind behind the sink. The classy, not overly frilly and engraved cabinets will be a timeless design for your investment.

Hey! Are you gonna put an rj45 plug in that open socket to the left? It would be super bad if they made built-in retractable cat-6 cabling; trust me I looked.

No, I'm not going to put an Ethernet port in my Kitchen Ryan :) Although it would be cool if I could operate my toaster from my iPhone!

Nice! I like your renovation style! And I just found a good company which can help me to design the style of my kitchen based on my needs. You can check the details from the following link: http://kitchenspro.com/

I love IKEA. They have some beautiful furniture. Those cabinets look great! =)

I found better cabinets than IKEA at a more reasonable price. The Ikea cabinets are very limited in sizes and styles and colors. We found something like what home depot used to carry called mill's pride cabinets. The cabinet line is skb kitchens and their website is the following link: http://skb-kitchens.com/

I like your choice of color. Did you consider an exhaust? That will help

Ben, the kitchen came out great! The combination of dark wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances has been a big hit with our clients as well. We do a lot of <a href="http://www.this-co.com/new-york-kitchen-renovation.php"; title="kitchen renovations in new york">kitchen renovations in new york</a> using these features. Nice work.

Looks good so far, could use a little bit more light. The Ikea cabinets are cool, the dark color of the wood stands out.

I have canisters like that in my kitchen too. When I bought them I intended to find some pretty vintage teacups, but while I was waiting for the perfect cups, I put my Fiesta cups in them. (one yellow, one blue) and decided they were fine. Of course, I could still come across some must have teacups someday!
I also have a 3rd clear canister I use for (homemade) hot chocolate mix in the winter.
